Hailing from Mount Mellerary in County Waterford is one of Irelands leading singer/musician/entertaining stars to grace our music venues. Influenced by the Irish show band era of the 60’s and 70’s and the song writings of Hank Williams, Pat Tobin started playing on the local circuit in mid-70s and to this day has established for himself a worldwide audience.
Pat plays professional keyboards, synthesizing all instruments including accordion and giving a full band sound. Pat is an extremely popular man who finds himself playing in packed venues throughout Ireland with an eclectic style, which includes Country and Ballads to humorous comedy songs, to 1960’s and pop.
A well established all rounder, Pat has appeared in shows with some of Irelands top entertainers such as: Paddy Reilly, Louise Morrissey, Declan Nerney to name but a few. He has also appeared on Irish TV with Bibi Baskins. When not playing venues in Ireland, Pat can be found touring around Europe and especially North America where he has had highly successful shows in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York, Catskill Mountains and Boston.
Also an accomplished guitar player, Pat has several successful albums to date with the two featured albums “Irelands Own” and “Mickey The Monk”, containing some well known Irish songs and others self-written by Pat. But it was perhaps the humorous comic songs and parodies which were to prove his versatility. Another highlight not to be missed is Pats video entitled “Songs, Scenery & Humour of Ireland” which includes thirteen of Pats favourite songs and combined with some magnificent Irish scenery you have a video to treasure and view again and again.
Pats latest single is a tribute to another great of Irish music, fellow musician and life long friend Paddy O’Brien with whom he has played the width and breadth of Ireland and beyond.
